Thames Valley and points West

Although the Thames Valley was fairly near to me geographically, the thought of driving the nightmare combination of A12,M25,and M3 there and back meant my visits were few.

The look on their faces had to be seen to be believed when it hove into view.
• In March 1993 I broke a bone in my foot but offered to go into work and do sorting rather than my round. They obviously didn't think much to my sorting and I was told only to come back when I was able to get on my bike.
So , in those days you could drive onto the bridge at S.Moreton, and hop from one side to the other as trains came.
The location may not have been that special but there certainly was a great variety in what could be seen there.
