Feeling very pleased with ourselves having captured this "extra" picture..60072 Lune Gorge 2nd May 1997..Knockshinnoch-Fidlers Ferry PS MGR..we weren't quite so pleased when we got back to the S&C and found out that the returning gypsum empties had run early and we missed it.
Lesson learned ,or should have been.

Wife and I had just enjoyed a strictly non-railway photography trip to Ardnamurchan so I didn't even take the 6x7 with me.
Stopping for a PNB at the southern end of Mossend Yard though on the journey back home and seeing this I did regret having just my wife's print film camera with which to record this rather spectacular triple-headed 37 train of iron-ore bound for Ravenscraig Steel Works. 37051 had just been attached for final mile or so climb into the works.
